Gas Prices Leveling Out, Nearly $1 Higher Than Last Year

While increasing gasoline stock levels have helped to keep gas prices mostly stable across Kansas, prices are still considerably higher than just one year ago.

Montgomery County residents are paying the most for a regular gallon of gas in southeast Kansas at $2.88 which is higher than the state average of $2.83. Labette County is only one cent behind at $2.87 while Chautauqua County is right at the state average.

Gas prices in Oklahoma are lower across the board with the state average sitting at $2.77. Gas in Washington County is at $2.84 while Nowata County is at $2.69 which is the third cheapest in the state and second cheapest in northeast Oklahoma.

The national gas price average is $3.07 which is four cents more than a month ago and 93 cents more than at this same time last year.
