Senator Peck Listening Tour Culminates In Montgomery County

State Senator Virgil Peck’s bi-annual listening tour will culminate in Montgomery County. The tour is designed to give area residents an opportunity to express thoughts and ideas about the state government in Topeka.

This year Senator Peck, to reach as many constituents as possible, has scheduled his stops later in the day or on the weekend. In an effort to maximize the benefit to area residents, he has invited State Representative Doug Blex to join him at his stops on Friday. From 3:30 to 4:30 Senator Peck will be at the Caney City commission room at 100 W 4th and then he will travel to Coffeyville to meet with the voters at Hersh’s Ice Cream at 123 W 9th at 5 pm.

Representative-elect Ron Bryce plans to join Senator Peck on Saturday morning at Cherryvale at the City Commission Room at 123 Main at 9 then they will go on to the Independence Historical Museum at 123 N 8th at 10:30. Senator Peck says his past listening tours were very helpful to him as a legislator and he expects this year’s tour to yield similar results.
