A ruptured gas line has temporarily closed a Coffeyville intersection.
At approximately 10:30 this morning, a vehicle struck a gas meter in the alley behind 1306 West 11th, rupturing the gas line. As a precaution, the block of 11th and Buckeye has been evacuated.
Fire Chief Hal Bumgarner says Atmos is on the scene making the necessary repairs. He is asking residents and drivers to avoid the area if possible.
