A new traveling exhibit about Kansas history opens today in Independence.
Independence Chamber President Lisa Wilson says the Kansas Pioneer Patriots Exhibit opens today at the Independence Historical Museum and Art Center.
Wilson says Guernsey was an influential Independence resident in the early 20th century.
There will be an opening night reception at the museum tonight from 6 to 7:30.
