Authorities in Cherokee County are searching for an escaped fugitive.

 

The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office says 28-year-old Terron M. Allen of Baxter Springs was being transported by sheriff's deputies on Monday when he slipped his handcuffs, exited the patrol vehicle and fled on foot.

 

Allen was in custody on a Cherokee County warrant. He was last seen in the 900 block of East Country Road in Columbus. Allen was wearing a white, button up short sleeved shirt and dark short.

 

Anyone who thinks they have seen Allen should call 9-1-1.
