A wellness fair is coming to Independence this week.

Health on Purpose Wellness Fair Organizer Kathy Shepard says blood work is available.  The fair also offers free balance, blood pressure and depression screenings. Shepard says a new service this year will help veterans.

The fair runs from 7:00am to 11:30am on Friday at the Independence Civic Center located at 410 North Penn Avenue. Admission is free. No appointment is needed for blood work, but participants should fast beforehand.
