The first court appearances for a man accused of escaping custody in Cherokee County are canceled.

28-year-old Terron Allen of Baxter Springs was scheduled to appear in Cherokee County Court on Monday morning to face charges of aggravated escape and aggravated criminal sodomy. Allen was being transported back to Kansas when Cherokee County Sheriff's deputies say he escaped from custody on September 21. He was recaptured on September 24.

The Cherokee County Attorney's Office has not yet set a new date for the hearing.
