A convicted sex offender residing in Bartlesville has pleaded guilty to felony charges.

50-year-old Kenneth Cox pleaded guilty to failing to register as a sex offender and residing within 2,000 feet of a school as a sex offender. Cox was sentenced to 10 years in the Department of Corrections (DOC). Cox will also pay $750 in court costs and fines. Cox pleaded guilty to failing to register as a sex offender in 2012 and 2023. Cox was sentenced to five years in DOC after his 2012 conviction and six years after his second conviction.

Cox was convicted and sentenced in January 2004 for rape by instrumentation and lewd molestation. He was sentenced to 15 years in DOC with seven to serve.
