Voters in Fredonia will be asked for their opinion on a $12.4 million school bond in the upcoming November 3rd election.
The bond would go to pay for improvements at Fredonia schools. Funding would go toward a new cafeteria with a storm shelter at Lincoln Elementary School along with a new library and media center, a connecting corridor and a classroom remodel. Fredonia JR/SR High school would get a new physical education facility and weight room, a new wrestling room and Career and Technical Education room, plus renovations to the art building and auditorium, and a new greenhouse.
For a residential home with a $100,000 appraised value, approval of the bond would mean an additional $12.91 per month.
There will be a community meeting to discuss the bond coming up at the high school on October 25th. For more information on the USD 484 school bond, follow this link.
