The Caney City Council will meet tonight with personnel and financial matters on the agenda.

At tonight's meeting, council members will consider hiring Seth Jones with Emert Chubb, to provide legal services for the city.

Council members will also consider hiring Lana Smith as a potential new city clerk and they ill additionally discuss improvements to the cemetery shop.

Code Enforcement Officer Colton Means will present proposed letters and a checklist related to health nuisances and environmental code violations.

The agenda also includes a 15-minute executive session to discuss confidential financial information, along with reviews of the city's second and third quarter treasury reports. Department reports and council comments will follow.

Tonight's meeting begins at 6:30pm at Caney's City Hall. The meeting is open to the public. Those who plan to attend are asked to enter the building through the east doors.
