The Sedan City Council discusses its options regarding a structural issue with the courthouse.
At this week's council meeting, City Public Works Supervisor Caleb Ironsyde informed members about a recently discovered issue with the building. He says it was actually discovered by accident.
An examination of the interior of the building revealed no cracking in the drywall. Council member Adam Clark says that's a good indicator that there isn't serious damage.
Council members decided to get an estimate for the possible repairs.
In other business, council members held a lengthy discussion on the job description for the City Clerk. Action on the issue was tabled until the next meeting.
