Coffeyville men's basketball coach Jay Herkelman has added another honor to his growing list of accomplishments.

After leading the Red Ravens to a 27-3 record and their first national championship since 1962, Herkelman has been named the NJCAA DI Coach of the Year. His 2021 squad posted a perfect 14-0 record at home and was ranked in the top-10 for the entirety of the season.

Herkelman has already been named the Jayhawk East Coach of the Year, as well as the Coach of the NJCAA Tournament. He's the winningest coach in Region 6 history, having coached at Coffeyville since 1995.
