Chiefs Go Wide Receiver on Record Setting Night

A record-setting Round 1 of the NFL Draft is in the books.

Six quarterbacks were taken in the first 12 picks, with Caleb Williams No. 1 to Chicago, Jayden Daniels No. 2 to Washington, Drake Maye No. 3 to New England, Michael Penix Jr No. 8 to Atlanta, JJ McCarthy No. 10 to Minnesota, and Bo Nix No. 12 to Denver.

Two other offensive records were set, with the first 14 picks of the draft all being offensive players. There were also 23 total players on offense selected in the first round, another NFL record.

The Kansas City Chiefs traded up to make their selection, picking wide receiver Xavier Worthy from the University of Texas.

Worthy has incredible speed, setting the NFL combine record for fastest 40-yard dash. NFL Network's Bucky Brooks says Worthy can open up the Kansas City offense.

Rounds 2 and 3 of the Draft continue tonight in Detroit.
