The St. Paul Indians fell to the Sedan Blue Devils 40-28 last Friday in a game that remained close into the fourth quarter, leaving head coach Keith Wiatrak and his team with one final game remaining on the schedule.

Trailing 32-28 late in the fourth quarter, St. Paul had a chance to get the ball back to its offense, but Sedan scored on a passing play to put the game out of reach.

The Indians have relied on a younger roster this season due to significant injuries. Wiatrak says he’s proud of how his players continue to fight and never give up, and he’s excited about the future of the program.

Three seniors will suit up for their final game with the Indians this Thursday. Wiatrak says they’ve been great kids to coach and continue to show up every Monday, ready to go.

St. Paul will make a three-hour road trip to Fairfield for its final game of the season, looking to finish with a victory against the winless Falcons.
