Marcia Faye Abell, age 64, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Windsor Place in Coffeyville, Kansas.  

 

Marcia passed just one week shy of her 65th birthday.  She was born on June 22, 1956 in Fayetteville, Arkansas to Oren and Viola "Faye" (Landelius) Abell.  

 

The family moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma when she was young, Marcia attended local schools and graduated from Will Rogers High School.  She enjoyed playing games especially on her computer and tablet.  In 2007 she moved to Coffeyville to be closer to family.  

 

Surviving to cherish her memory is her mother, Faye Taylor of Wann, Oklahoma; siblings, Teresa Thompson of Wann, Oklahoma, Daniel Abell of Terrill, Texas, Terry Abell of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two nieces, one nephew; three great nieces; four great nephews and a great-great niece and nephew that are twins, as well as other close relatives.  The family would also like to acknowledge the residents and staff at Windsor Place Oxford Unit who were considered family and friends to Marcia during the years she spent there. She was preceded in death by her father, Oren Abell.  

 

Following Marcia's wishes, cremation has taken place under the direction of David W Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.  A Private Memorial Service is being held at a later date.

 

The family suggests that memorial contributions can be made to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice; these may be left with the funeral home or mailed in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home 306 N. Cline Rd. Coffeyville, KS 67337.
